Chuang Xiong grows on the sunny mountain slopes of South-West Asia. This plant, which can grow up 2m in height, is also native to Southern Europe where it is known as Szechwan lovage. Its leaves, fruits and root are all used. Chuang Xiong strengthens the heart, is a diuretic, and aids with period pains. Its warming, circulation-stimulating effect can promote a bad circulation.
